Semi-Automatic Handgun Training

The courses below continue the education and training of defensive and tactical shooting with a semi-automatic handgun.  They give the student the Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude to use their semi-automatic handgun in varying situations while making sound and timely decisions on when to use deadly force.  This calls for sound fundamental skills incorporated with advance techniques delivered in a building block format to ensure all training builds on and elevates the students own individual capabilities.

These courses are not "check in the box" courses.  Students will be evaluated during and at the end of the course.  Upon completion of a course the student will be able to perform a 70% or higher (course dependent) on a standardized test developed for each course and based on the learning objective(s) for that course.

THESE COURSES DO NOT TEACH CONCEALED HANDGUN TACTICS.  All courses in this category will be taught with the pistol coming from the open carry holster position.  The appropriate holster for the course will be required.

Semi-Automatic Handgun I (SAH-I)

This course introduces the student to the knowledge, skills & attitude to use a semi automatic pistol safely and effectively.

THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER'S PISTOL COURSE!

Students should have some knowledge of how to fire a handgun and operate it safely but do not need to have "advanced" level firearms training.  The SAH-I uses real life scenarios and drills to instill the fundamentals of marksmanship, gun-handling, safety, ammunition selection, equipment selection, loading, unloading, immediate action/malfunction drills, equipment placement and firing techniques taught both in the classroom and on the range.
